KARACHI, Sept 30: Davis Cupper and top seed Yasir Khan took a step closer to capture the men’s singles crown when he registered convincing victory over junior international Nameer Shamsi in the semi-final of 20th Talent Hunt Sindh Ranking Tennis Championship at the PN Physical Training and Sports Centre on Thursday.

He returned 6-0, 6-3 victorious over the fourth seed opponent and drawn to meet the winner of second semi-final Omer Usman and Omer Shahid for the title battle on Friday.

Nameer had some consolation when he sneaked into the juniors’ under-17 final defeating fourth seed Talha Zubair Surmawala in three set duel. The scores were 6-1, 5-7, 10-5.
