KARACHI, Oct 2: At least six foreigners, including five Indians, are expected to participate in the 13th Pakistan International Seniors' World Ranking Tennis Championship which runs at Karachi Gymkhana synthetic courts from Oct 11 to 17.

Those who have confirmed their participation are Rama Chandra Raju, Radhakisan Gurnaney, Vyas Rahul Chandreshbhai, Anne Ratnakara Rao, P. Murthati Suresh (India) and Andreo Shalakadze (Georgia).

Details of the event were announced at a press briefing by organisers at the Karachi Gymkhana on Saturday. Khwaja Saeed Hai, Sheikh M. Minhas, Sabih Wali and Khalid Rehmani outlined salient features of the event.

Responding to queries, the organisers said they have completed all formalities and hoped that the government would issue NOC to the Indians by Tuesday or Wednesday.

This is the second ITF approved category four event of the Seniors being held here this year. The previous was held in July.

Last date for the submission of entries for home players is Oct 8.
