Mardan faces prolonged loadshedding

Published October 8, 2010

THERE is now a 12-hour loadshedding schedule in many localities of the Mardan city. Mayar village routine faults in major power lines have made the life of the people miserable. Despite paying huge bills, people remain out of electricity for more than 12 hours. This is all due to lack of management.

In my village, students and employees are the major victims of this loadshedding. They can neither work nor take rest. Everyone cannot afford a generator.

Does Wapda have any solution to the problem? Can it reduce the loadshedding period, as well as fix problems in areas facing both routine fault and loadshedding?
