SUKKUR, Oct 11 Hundreds of residents of Thull took out a procession and held a demonstration outside the press club on Monday in protest against non-inclusion of union councils-1 and 2 in the list of flood affected areas.

Carrying placards, they took to the streets from main bazaar and reached outside the press club where they held the demonstration. Jawed Sagar Brohi, Barkat Naseerani and Mohammad Hassan were leading them.

Addressing protesters, the leaders criticised the government for not including the two union councils of Thull in the list of flood affected areas.

They said that people of different areas who gathered at the Nadra registration center for getting Watan Cards were being humiliated by police and other agencies and condemned the act. They demanded of the Sindh government to take steps for including the union councils in the list.

They also demanded that the government should make the process of issuance of Watan Card transparent for the benefit of flood victims.
