ISLAMABAD Pakistan has recalled penalty corner specialist Sohail Abbas for its Asian Games training camp.

Abbas was overlooked for this months Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, where Pakistan was sixth in the 10-team competition.

Abbas last competed at the World Cup —also in the Indian capital this year —where Pakistan was last of the 12 teams.

Chief selector Hanif Khan met with Abbas in Karachi on Thursday and said in a statement the ace penalty corner drag flicker is in good form and fitness at this time.

Pakistan has invited 25 players to the training camp beginning on Monday in Islamabad. The Asian Games are next month at Guangzhou, China.
