Granta is a UK-based literary magazine, whose latest issue celebrated Pakistan through its articles and essay. An event organised by the British Council (Karachi) was focused on the Pakistan issue of Granta on Friday, October 22 –a month after the magazine’s official launch at Asia House, London. GRANTA has always published articles and stories relating to Pakistan from time to time. Interested readers should obtain a copy entitled "The First Twenty-One Years" published in 2001.

I am in Europe for last 25 years. So the literature from Pakistan as seen by a foreign magazine is very interesting for me.

Pakistan is a country full of loving people, sight and scenes, and people with intelligence who believe in and work for culture, art, modesty, harmony, love and world development. I appreciate Granta for their effort to portray the Pakistan as it is, rather than as it is being portrayed by the biased media.
