ISLAMABAD, Oct 24: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani removed on Sunday Sajjad Haider, the staff officer of the interior minister, in accordance with the Supreme Court order for removing all NRO beneficiaries holding public offices, informed sources told Dawn on Sunday.

However, no official of the interior ministry confirmed the report. The prime minister had asked the Establishment Division last week to compile a list of NRO beneficiaries holding public offices and the list was provided to him.

The list has names of over 70 NRO beneficiaries working in ministries and federal departments.—Syed Irfan Raza
