KARACHI, Oct 25: Qualifier Mustafa Zaidi overcame Faiq Azam in straight sets to make it to the men's singles quarter-finals of the 10th STA development series tennis championship at the City Sports Complex courts on Monday.
Zaidi, who topped STA's half yearly ranking in juniors' under-17, was home 6-0, 6-3 against his opponent. Earlier, he whipped Zain Malik 8-0 in the pro-set qualifying round two.Three more qualifiers who joined Zaidi in the main draw of 16 include Ather Iltifat, Farhan Mustafa and Arshad Shahid.
