MARDAN, Nov 6: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti on Monday inaugurated a newly built rural health centre in the Manga locality of Mardan here.

The healthcare facility has been completed at a cost of Rs35 million.

Speaking at a public gathering on the occasion, Mr Hoti said about 25 federal ministries would be transferred to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province from the federal government and that the province would also be granted provincial autonomy under the 18th Constitutional Amendment by June 2011.

Later, the chief minister went to Mardan Medical Complex and inaugurated the recently completed buildings of accident and emergency block and ICU wards.

Mr Hoti reiterated his government's resolve to eradicate the menace of terrorism from the society. He condemned the Friday attacks on two mosques in Darra Adamkhel and Badbher near Peshawar, saying, the perpetrators of these attacks could neither be Muslims nor human beings.

Mr Hoti said the provincial government got identification for the province after a long struggle besides gaining extra resources under the NFC award.

“The ANP-led government has completed record developmental schemes in all union councils of Mardan district in a short period of two years”, he claimed.

Announcing some more new projects for the Mardan city, the chief minister disclosed that work on construction of 200-bed Benazir Children Hospital, the dual track on Charsada road and reconstruction of district headquarters hospital Mardan would be started in next two months.

The chief minister said the provincial government would use all available means to fulfill the requirements of the Mardan Medical Complex, adding, the shortage of doctors and other paramedical staff would soon be fulfilled.
