RAWALPINDI, Nov 12: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), in its re-investigation into the assassination of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto has found her personal security officer SSP Major (retired) Imtiaz Hussain and two police officers deputed on her security on December 27, 2007 of innocent, Dawn has learnt. The Joint Investigation Team (JIT) of the FIA has found no evidence against the three police officers, SSP Imtiaz Hussain, the then SSP Operation Yasin Farooq and SHO City Kashif Riaz deployed on her security duty during her address to public rally at Liaquat Bagh.

The JIT, has, however, left two of the police officers, the then CPO Rawalpindi Saud Aziz and SP Khuram Shahzad Haider, up to the trial court to decide their fate after it could not collect any evidence against them.

The final charge-sheet prepared by JIT is likely to be presented in the Anti-Terrorism Court on Saturday.

The sources said quoting from the JIT report said that no evidence regarding then SSP Operation Yasin Farooq, CSO Maj Imtiaz and SHO City Kashif Riaz role in facilitating and aiding the arrested accused has come on record.
