MOSCOW: Two people were killed and dozens injured Saturday when a passenger plane made an emergency landing at a Moscow airport, a transport investigators spokeswoman told the Interfax news agency. “As a result of the TU-154 making an emergency landing at Domodedovo airport, two people died and several dozens were injured,” said Tatyana Morozova, a spokeswoman for Moscow transport investigators.

The TU-154 airliner from Dagestan Airlines was forced into an emergency landing half an hour after taking off because of engine failure, a source in the Russian Civil Aviation agency told the RIA Novosti news agency.

Nearly two dozen ambulances were on their way to the site of the accident, Interfax reported.
