KARACHI, Dec 10: Yazik Hockey Club and National Hockey Club beat their respective opponents to reach the Karachi Inter-club Hockey Tournament semi-finals at the Hockey Club of Pakistan (HCP) here on Friday.The first quarter-final saw Yazik Hockey Club edging out Al-Faisal Hockey Club 4-3. The goals for the winners were scored by Asim Abbasi (eighth and 59th mins), Zia-ul-Haq (11th min) and Junaid Ali (16th min) while Mohammad Akram and Mohammad Raza (36th and 38th min) reduced the margin for the losing side.

In the other quarter-final, National Hockey Club thrashed Al Sagheer Hockey Club 5-1. Mohammad Zubair (52nd and 53rd mins) scored two goals while Olympian Kamran Ashraf (41st min), Olympian Abbas Haider (49th min) and Mohammad Yousuf (54th min) added three more for National Hockey Club. Al Sagheer's consolation goal was scored by Ali Hussain (48th min)
