LAHORE, Dec 16: Pakistan entered the semi-finals of the first SAFF Women Football Championship in Bangladesh after thrashing Afghanistan 3-0 on Thursday. Now Pakistan will face either India or Bangladesh in the last-four stage.

Pakistan led the first half 2-0.

Midfielder Malaika Noor of Young Rising Stars Club, landed the opener in the 21st minute. Balochistan United's midfielder Shlyla Baloch consolidated the lead in the 40th minute as Pakistan led 2-0 at interval.

Islamabad's Mejzgaan Orakzai, completed the tally 15 minutes from the time.

The Afghan women team, was formed in 2004, and it had played in third Pakistan National Women Championship in August 2007. Since then, the team has continued to hone their skills.
