SUKKUR: Boy electrocuted

SUKKUR, Sept 27: Cases have been registered against three Hesco officials of Rohri, following the electrocution of one Shaukat Mirani which shocked the people of Rohri.

Hundreds of people, carrying the body of the deceased blocked the National Highway near the Gangoti ground, Rohri, on Friday.

Mohammad Ali Shaikh, a candidate of PS-4, Rohri, along with the relatives of the deceased forced the Rohri police to register an FIR against the Hesco officials including the SDO, the line superintendent and a line man.

It may be recalled that a wire had been lying broken for many days, in spite of the repeated complaints by the people of the area, the the Hesco officials did not remove that.

Later, the angry mob took to the streets.

The Taluka and district Nazims rushed to the spot and tried to pacify the crowed and asked to end the blockade of the highway, but the mob refused to comply.

Later Mohammad Ali Shah, a candidate from PS-4 Rohri, reached on the spot and forced the police to register an FIR.
