LOWER DIR: Three police officials were injured in an explosion that took place in Lower Dir on Sunday, when militants attacked a police mobile.

According to security forces, militants exploded a remote controlled bomb in the Zakha Khel area while a police mobile was on routine patrol in the area.

Police officials said that accomplices of Mullah Fazlullah may be behind the increased militancy in the area. It was earlier thought that Fazlullah's supporters had fled to Afghanistan due to the military operations in the area, however, it is possible that they have started returning now.

Security forces said that military operations have increased in the Lower Kurram and tribal agencies recently.
