KARACHI: Interior Minister Rehman Malik held a meeting with Governor Sindh Ishratul Ebad on Tuesday, DawnNews reported.

During the meeting, Rehman Malik presented several new recommendations in order to clear the political deadlock between the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).

Prior to his meeting with Ishratul Ebad, Rehman Malik had met with Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah. During the meeting, the two leaders had devised recommendations to convince the MQM to rejoin the coalition government at the centre. The recommendations were conveyed to the MQM after consultation with President Asif Ali Zardari.
