KARACHI, Jan 4: FC Rovers Malir and Baloch Youth registered wins in Group ‘A’ of the Karachi Football League at the Baloch Mujahid Stadium here on Monday.
FC Rovers Malir thrashed Malir Union 6-1. The goals for the winners were scored by Irfan Junejo (sixth and 18th mins), Sarosh Sagheer (29th and 86th mins), Waqar Hussain (50th min) and Salman Shahid (80th min). Shaz Khan (59th min) scored the consolation goal for Malir Union.
Baloch Youth edged past Burma Mohammadan 2-1. Salamuddin (52nd min) and Sarmad Jafar (78th min) scored for Baloch Youth and Mohammad Imran (23rd min) reduced the margin for Burma Mohammadan.
Meanwhile, in Group ‘B’, Al-Shahbaz Korangi and Gulshan-i-Ittihad played a 1-1 draw. Abdul Rehman (54th min) scored for Al-Shahbaz Korangi and Mohammad Ayub (47th min) for Gulshan-i-Ittihad.?
