HYDERABAD, Sept 30: The president of the PPP, Sakrand, Nawabshah district, Allah Bux Lakho, and another local leader of the party, Rais Ghulam Mustafa Unnar, have appealed to the Chief Election Commissioner and other authorities concerned to ban the entry of Sindh education minister Khan Mohammad Dahri into Nawabshah till the election is over and issue transfer orders of the local administration as they were interfering in the election process.

Speaking at a news conference at the press club here on Monday, they said leaders of the PPP were being pressurized to join the government-backed party and also threatened with dire consequences.

They alleged the Sindh education minister and the vice- president of the PML (Q), Sindh, Ghulam Rasool Unar, had got a false case registered against Rais Nazar Mohammad Unar, the president of the PPP, Nawabshah district, and his relatives, who were languishing in jail.

They said the leaders of the party were being victimized at the insistence of the provincial minister.

They demanded of the authorities concerned to stop excesses against the PPP leaders forthwith and ensure the holding of fair election.
