KARACHI: Punjab Whites, Army, Punjab Colours and Balochistan triumphed on day three of the 26th PIA National Women Hockey Championship at the Hockey Club of Pakistan here on Thursday.

Punjab Whites beat Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 2-1 with Anis Fatima and Ambreen Nawaz scoring one goal each for the winners while Gul Pari reduced the margin for the losing side.

Army thrashed Sindh Colours 14-0 in the next match. Shahida (four goals) and Shamshad (three goals) bagged hat-tricks while Ayesha and Nadia scored two each and Nadia, Taskeen and Zeba added one each to the winners’ tally.

In the third match Punjab Colours beat Sindh Whites 3-2 with Muniza Imran (two goals) and Zarina Habib (one goals) scoring for the winners while Madiha scored both the goals for the losing side.

Finally, Balochistan beat Islamabad 4-1 with Faryal scoring a hat-trick for Balochistan as Farah Khan added one more. Islamabad’s consolation goal was scored by Azra Farooq.

Friday’s fixtures: Islamabad v Sindh Whites (9.30am); Wapda v Army (11.00am); Railways v Punjab Colours (1.00pm); Sindh Colours v Punjab Whites (2.30pm).
