KARACHI: Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi and Rohan Bopanna moved through to the third round of the Australian Open men’s doubles on Friday after defeating French pair Jeremy Chardy and Arnaud Clement 6-3, 4-6, 6-4.

Playing on Court no. 6 of the Melbourne Park Tennis Complex, Qureshi and Bopanna took one hour and forty five minutes to advance to the third round.

In their first round match, the Indo-Pak duo brushed aside Brazilians Andre Sa and France Ferreiro 6-3, 6-0.

In the last 16 round, Qureshi and Bopanna will be facing former World No. 1 doubles player Nenad Zimonjic of Serbia and Michael Llodra of France.
