KARACHI, Jan 24: Azam Sports and Gulshan Soccer qualified to play in the quarter-finals of the fifth All Pakistan NBP Football Tournament after beating their respective opponents at the Colony Sports Football Ground here on Monday.

Mohammad Aqueel’s hat-trick propelled Azam Sports to defeat Rizwan Sports 4-1.

Aqueel found the net in the 13th, 21st and 37th minutes with Salimullah (59th min) adding one more to the winners’ tally. Amir Khan (78th min) scored the consolation goal for the losing side.

In the other match, Gulshan Soccer beat Lasbela Students 3-1.

Two goals for the winners were scored by Kashif (51st and 69th mins) and one by Mahmood (73rd min) after Siddiq-ur-Rehman (ninth min) of Lasbela Students scored the match’s first goal.
