LAHORE, Jan 28: A planned hockey series on bilateral basis between Pakistan and Egypt is in doldrums because of the anarchy in Egypt.

Pakistan were to tour Egypt from Feb 25 to play four-Test series and in reply they were to tour Pakistan in April. But the ongoing bad law and order situation in Egypt due to political issues may not allow the series to take place.

Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) secretary Asif Bajwa said that the federation had written letter to foreign and sports ministries, asking for an advice.

He said that though Pakistan had cordial relations with Egypt and wanted to play the series, final clearance could only be given by the government.
