Governor Sardar Latif Khosa said here on Saturday the nation was united against terrorism and committed to weed out the menace from Pakistan.
Speaking to a public meeting in Khajoorwali village near Kotli Loharaan, Khosa said the government was implementing the social welfare plan. He said the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) was committed to people's welfare and it would continue its struggle for a sustainable democracy and justice system in the country.
Also, Khosa inaugurated a gas supply project in Uggoki. Talking to reporters here, Khosa said the PPP-led federal government was promoting political reconciliation, as it was consulting all political parties on internal and external issues.
Speaking at a Kashmir Solidarity Day function, Khosa showed complete solidarity with the Kashmiris and said the sacrifices given by thousands of Kashmiri people would bear the fruit soon. He said no one could guarantee peace in South Asia till settlement of the Kashmir issue.
Inaugurating a registration centre for women in Khajoorwala village near Head Marala, Khosa said Nadra was doing a great job. He also opened construction work on link roads in Bajwat, Head Marala and Kotli Loharaan. He also attended a meeting arranged by the Sialkot International Airport Limited. Speaking at a meeting with Sialkot industrialists and exporters, the governor said the government was aware of their problems and trying to solve these. Federal Minister for Population Welfare Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan accompanied Khosa during his visit to Sialkot and suburbs. — Correspondent
