QUETTA: Four people including an engine driver, foreman and two passengers, were injured in an armed attack on Quetta bound passenger train in the Notal area of Nasirabad district late on Thursday evening.

A powerful explosion also took place at the main railway track in the same area linking Quetta with rest of the country.

Sources said that a rocket fired by unknown armed men hit the locomotive of Quetta Express coming from Peshawar, resulting in injuring the driver and foreman.

After the attack, miscreants also started firing at the train and wounded two passengers.
