KARACHI: Asian No 2 Mohammad Sajjad and losing finalist of the national championship, Imran Shahzad, are due to fly to Bangkok in the early hours of Friday to compete in the inaugural Asian 6-Red Snooker Championship being held at Chanthaburi from February 13 to 19, a top official of the Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association (PBSA) said on Thursday.

He said Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) is bearing all the expenses of the trip.

He also announced a three-member Pakistan team for the upcoming bilateral series against Iran.

The team consists of Imran Shahzad, Mohammad Sajjad and Mohammad Shahid. Secretary of Punjab Snooker Association, Shahzad Chaudhry, will accompany the team as manager. The team leaves for Tehran on March 9.
