LAHORE Feb 14: The PPP leadership has asked its party members not to issue any statement against or for Mr Qureshi.

“Qureshi has also been asked not to issue more statements,” PPP deputy information secretary Haider Zaman Qureshi told Dawn on Monday. He further informed that the leadership was not considering any disciplinary action against Mr. Qureshi.

Meanwhile, Punjab PPP President Imtiaz Safdar Warriach told reporters on Monday after a party meeting that the leadership had taken notice of the statement of the former foreign minister and some others who responded to Qureshi’s comments. He said Qureshi had violated party discipline by issuing a statement on the Raymond Davis issue after resigning from the office. — Staff Reporter
