Pakistan’s World Cup squad underwent a training session at Hambantota’s Suriyawewa Mahinda Rajapakse International Cricket Stadium on February 21, 2011. They face Kenya in their opening match of the tournament at the same ground on Wednesday, February 23. Coach Waqar Younis said ahead of the match that his team is fully focused on the job at hand and will not be distracted by controversies of the past (spot-fixing) and present (Shiv Sena threat).

Boys concentrate on future forget past. You have all the ability to show how strong you can plane your game. We are with you in good and bad times. Cricket is the game of uncertainties. Yesterday was not good tomorrow will be great when you go home with dignity of winning a world cup and I will place the picture of all of you next to Imran khan’s in my home which is not Pakistan.
