ISLAMABAD, Feb 21: Saba Aziz confirmed a berth in the final of the ninth Subh-e-Nau National tennis championship at the PTF Complex on Monday.

Saba defeated Sara Mansoor 6-7(6), 7-6(5), 6-4.

Saba would now face Sara Mahboob in the final on Tuesday.

Sara Mahboob also qualified for the final after beating Mehak Khokhar in straight sets.

In the first semi-final of boys' U-18 event, Faizan Khurram clinched thriller against Mohammad Abid.

Abid was one set up when Faizan bounced back and won next two sets winning the match 1-6, 6-4, 6-2.

Faizan would now be seen in action against Heera Ashiq in the final.

Heera was victorious against Usman Rafique after an easy contest.

Mohammad Mudassir reached final of boys' U-14 category, beating Azhar Qadir 7-5, 6-4.

Results: Ladies singles (semi-finals): Saba Aziz bt Sara Mansoor 6-7(6), 7-6(5), 6-4; Sara Mahboob bt Mehak Khokhar 6-0, 6-0. Boys' U-18 (semi-finals): Heera Ashiq bt Usman Rafique 7-5, 6-3; Faizan KHurram bt Mohammad Abid 1-6, 6-4, 6-2. Boys' U-14 (semi-finals): Mohammad Mudassir bt Azhar Qadir 7-5, 6-4; Hamza bin Asif bt Nofel Kaleem 6-0, 6-1.
