LAHORE, March 6: Former Supreme Court Bar president and PPP leader Aitzaz Ahsan says evidence in the Benazir Bhutto assassination case lead to former president Pervez Musharraf. He was talking to the media at his residence after a meeting with PML-Q leaders Chaudhry Shujaat Husain, Pervaiz Elahi and Moonis Elahi here on Sunday.

Expressing his concern at the inordinate delay in finalising probe into the PPP chairperson’s murder, Ahsan said the investigation should have been completed and red warrants should have been is sued for the accused by now.

Ms Bhutto had been assassinated on Dec 27, 2007 after an election rally at Liaquat Bagh in Rawalpindi.

Replying to a query, Ahsan said Musharraf was not that much courageous as he was posing. He challenged the former army chief to return and face the court if he was brave enough.

Referring to the Raymond Davis case, the lawyer said the American did not enjoy immunity and added that no diplomat had the immunity to kill anyone.

Answering a question, he said both PPP and (former foreign minister) Shah Mahmood Qureshi had the same view on Davis immunity.

Shujaat told the media that they visited Ahsan to discuss some personal issues and not the Davis case.
