ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Monday has taken notice of statements made by the chief of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) about the Khanani and Kalia case.

Waseem Ahmed had told the Senate Standing Committee on Interior that the exoneration of suspects in the Khanani and Kalia case was questionable and alleged that “a large sum of money” was used for the exoneration.

He also told the committee that the case against the accused was complete and that there was sufficient evidence and record available on the matter.

According to a statement issued by the Supreme Court, Justice Ifitkhar has ordered the Chief Justice Sindh High Court to probe the allegations and submit the report in seven days.
