KARACHI, March 10: Punjab University successfully defended their title when they beat Govt College University Faisalabad 2-0 in the final of the All Pakistan Inter-varsity Football Championship at the NED University Football Ground here on Thursday.

The goals for the winners were scored by Yasir Mahmood (36th min) and Mohammad Nazir (51st min).

Meanwhile, the third-position match was won by Peshawar University who beat Balochistan University 3-1. Wajid Ali (53rd min), Hashmatullah (72nd min) and Subhanullah (88th min) scored one each for Peshawar University while Iftikhar Ahmed got the lone goal for Balochistan University.
