ISLAMABAD: The government has granted one year extension to the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) chief Lt-Gen Ahmad Shuja Pasha.

In an exclusive talk to Dawn, Minister for Defence Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar, said that the ISI Chief has not being retired and the notice of his extension has been issued.

Answering about US drone attacks, Mukhtar said that Pakistan has informed US about the distress among Pakistanis on the issue.

The issue of granting another extension to Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) chief Lt-Gen Ahmad Shuja Pasha has been resolved

ISI Chief also met with Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani in which Gilani asked Pasha to take more effective steps in war against terrorism.
