KARACHI, April 2: Sada Bahar, an unknown pedigree bay horse, who was unlucky to win The Ziarat Cup in the last race, is tipped to avenge his defeat when he appears in The Hur Mujahid Cup in the Gymkhana race meeting at the Karachi Racecourse on Sunday.

With The Sprint Cup under his belt, Sada Bahar was denied to land another cup beaten by Count Down by neck in a closely fought race. Both the horses will be up against each other in the fourth race to be run over five furlongs.

The two are likely to be followed by mare Royal Blue among 10 starters barring last minute withdrawals.

Honourable, another unknown pedigree bay horse, looks formidable to add another feather to his cap should he win The Summer Cup in an earlier race.

He conjured up a fluent five lengths victory over Superb Victory on March 23 to claim The Khairpur Cup with rider Abdul Mutlib in the saddle.

However, he has to overcome Karigar and Mukadar to accomplish the task in the class VII div III race to be run over five-and-a-half furlongs.

If on job, five-year-old bay mare Hypnose should strike to win the opener, which is also days feature event.

Those who come in the reckoning to pose her challenge are filly Nagma and colt Wiki Leaks. Mare Dilruba may bring an element an element of surprise.

With an enviable record under his belt, unknown dark bay horse Mera Sayeen should go all out to stretch his winning streak in the next race.

He has won four out of six races, last three on trot, and finished second in the two he has appeared in.

He is likely to be chased by Gul-e-Shireen and Re-Set for the places.

Colt Hustler, mare Ajma and colt Star King are likely to dominate the last three races.

A card of seven races including two cups has been drawn for the day. The first race starts at 1pm.

Pool B: Aga Khan University (AKU), Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS), Balochistan University of Information Technology & Management Sciences (BUITMS) and Institute of Business Administration (IBA-Reserves).

Pool C: Institute of Business Management (IoBM), Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology (SSUET), Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science & Technology (SZABIST) and Institute of Business Administration (IBA-United).

Pool D: Hamdard University (HU), Baqai Medical University (BMU), Ziauddin University (ZU), Pakistan Navy Engineering College (PNEC-NUST) and Liaquat National Medical College (LNMC).

Monday's fixtures: BMU v ZU (2:00pm), JMDC v PAF-KIET (3:30pm) and IBA-Reserves v AKU (5:00 pm).
