China’s economy: Growing or declining?

China said its economy grew at a robust but slightly slower pace in the first quarter of 2011 while inflation accelerated despite efforts to rein in soaring food and property prices. Gross domestic product in the world's second-largest economy expanded by 9.7 per cent in the first three months of the year, the National Bureau of Statistics said.
