GUJRAT, April 17: Jamaat-i-Islami took out a rally from Zahoor Elahi Stadium to Pakistan Chowk on Sunday.

Prior to the rally it held an 'Istehkam-i-Pakistan' conference at the stadium. Speaking on the occasion, JI naib amir Sirajuddin said Prime Minister Gilani had visited Afghanistan to appease the Americans. He said the war on terror had caused a major harm to economy, culture and political fabric of the country.

He said the war had so far claimed more than 24,000 lives in tribal areas and destroyed 1,000 mosques.

He said the drone attacks in the tribal areas were only killing innocent people.
