They held a protest in front of the DPO and the DCO house and blocked the Indus Highway for two hours. They were led by Nazeer Ahmed Chhajro and Ghulam Shabbir Chhajro.

They demanded the removal of the SHO and the arrest of all the accused.

Addressing the demonstrators, Mr Nazeer said that nine Kori tribesmen including Hakim, Mohammad Nawaz, Ghulam Mohammad, Sikandar, Gul Mohammad, Ghulam Shabbir, Amir Bux and two others had attacked and killed Mohammad Ramzan in the Jhallo village.

He said that when the villagers went to the Jhallo police to have a case lodged against the killers of Mohammad Ramzan, the SHO refused to register a case against them because they were influential people.

On the directives of the TPO, Dadu, a murder case was registered against the nine accused at the Jhallo police station and the SHO was suspended.

KILLED: A man, Mushtaq Shah, was crushed to death under the wheels of a Peshawar-bound coach while he was trying to cross the Indus Highway, near Mehar town, on Monday.

The driver of the coach escaped immediately.
