KARACHI: Pakistan’s Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi reached his career best ranking of 10 when the ATP doubles rankings were announced on Monday.

Aisam’s ranking improved two places from his previous position at number 12 with 4080 points while his doubles partner Rohan Bopanna’s ranking also improved two places as he jumped from 13 to 11 with 4050 points.

The IndoPak Express who were finalists at last year’s US Open are now ranked at number seven – an improvement from their previous position of number eight.

Aisam’s father, Ihtsham-ul-Haq Qureshi, who is also his manager said that the new ranking was wonderful and something Aisam had been working hard for.

“We had been looking forward to this…to be in the top ten of the world is a great honour for us and for all of Pakistan.”

The duo is set to participate in next week’s French Open for which their preparations are currently underway in London.
