CHARSADDA, May 18: Another government-run school was blown up in Shabqadar here on Wednesday.

Locals said that suspected militants had planted an improvised explosive device at the building of a government-run primary school in Gul Bacha Korona in the jurisdiction of Saro police station, on Michini Road.

The bomb went off with a big bang in the early hours of Wednesday. As a result, the entire building, including two rooms and a veranda, was destroyed. The record and furniture of the school were also lost in the explosion.

With the latest incident, the number of blown up/torched schools reached 13 in Shabqadar tehsil alone.
