LARKANA, Oct 22: A passenger died and a dozen were injured in two accidents in different parts the district on Tuesday.

A passenger bus, going to Kambar from Badah, capsized when one of its wheels plunged into a hole at a bridge near Jamil Tunio village close to Nasirabad town.

The accident resulted into the death of Ahmed Ali Brohi, 30, and injuries to seven men.

Those injured — Rafiq Ahmed Soomro, Amjad Ali, Mohammad Rafiq Tunio, Mohammed Hayat Tunio, Shahnawaz Brohi, Tahir Hussain and Aijaz Tunio — were admitted to the Chandka Medical College Hospital.

The local villagers said that accidents were taking place on the old bridge too often because it had been damaged at many places.

Meanwhile, four commuters were seriously injured when a bus went out of the control of its driver after its tie-rod broke on Kambar-Ratodero road near Zangeja village.

Those injured included Khuda Bakhsh Jalbani, Nasim Ali, Nazir Ahmed Brohi, Atta Mohammed and Allah Rakhiyo Abro.
