QUETTA, May 23: The Balochistan High Court ordered an investigation officer of the police department's crimes branch on Monday to expedite the report on the Nawab Akbar Bugti murder case.

A bench comprising Chief Justice Faez Isa Qazi and Justice Mohammad Hashim Kakar did not agree with the investigation officer that non-cooperation by the petitioner had been delaying the case.

The investigation officer said he had not received the case record from the police station concerned in Dera Bugti. He quoted the police as having told him that Nawabzada Jamil Akbar Bugti, the petitioner, was reluctant to cooperate with them.

The court asked the investigation officer to submit the progress report on June 7. — Correspondent
