KHAIRPUR: 10 houses gutted

KHAIRPUR, Oct 25: Some ten houses were reduced to ashes when fire broke out in the Haji Allah Bux Shaikh village, near Babarloi, on Friday.

The houses belonged to Mohammad Ramzan Shaikh, Gul Hassan, Mohammad Soomar, Rab Nawaz, Khadim Ali, Jamaluddin, Ali Murad, Mehar Shaikh and others.

The villagers said they informed the fire brigade offices at Sukkur and Rohri but the officials refused to come for their rescue.

Later, the Khairpur fire brigade was informed which reached the spot.

Due to fire, dowry of two girls, daughters of Mehar Shaikh and Soomar Shaikh were reduced to ashes and 60 date bags of Ali Murad were also burnt.
