KARACHI, June 30: Gulshan Soccer and Baloch Mujahid reached the quarter-finals of the All-Karachi Engro Vopak Cup Football Tournament after beating their respective opponents at the Baloch Mujahid Stadium here on Wednesday.

Gulshan Soccer edged out Baloch Union 3-2 with Kashif Zafar (1st min), Wasif Ali (35th min) and Mahmood Shah (51st min) getting the goals for Gulshan as Mohammad Arif (eighth min) and Umar Younas (50th min) reduced the margin for Baloch Union.

Meanwhile, Baloch Mujahid beat Mauripur Greeks 4-3 on penalty kicks after the score remained deadlocked at 1-1 at final whistle. Mauripur Greeks had scored first through Abdus Salam (29th min) while Mohammad Rizwan (45th min) restored parity for Baloch Mujahid. Later, they got ahead during the tiebreaker.
