HARIPUR, July 4: Provincial Minister for Higher Education Qazi Mohammad Asad on Monday said the government postgraduate college for boys would have a fully equipped library that was being named after the icon of the freedom movement from Hazara Hakeem Mohammad Abdus Salam Hazarvi.
This he said while speaking to newsmen at a programme of the Hairpur press club.
The minister said the project would cost Rs40 million and would help the researchers and students get access to the required books.
He said Chief Minister Ameer Haider Hoti had approved the proposal by the local literary and educational circles about dedicating the library to the name of Hakeem Hazarvi.
Qazi Asad said he was making efforts for legislation for upgradation of the postgraduate college to full fledged university as it had the required faculty and departments.
SHOT DEAD: A man was shot dead over an old family feud in the jurisdiction of Sadar police station on Sunday night. Police said Zahir, son of Fazaldad, was traveling in a pick-up van when three armed persons opened fire over him, injuring him seriously. The injured was taken to the DHQ hospital where he succumbed to injuries. —Correspondent
