NEW DELHI: The All India Football Federation says its national team will play Pakistan in a three-match football series in England starting next month.

AIFF President Praful Patel made the announcement Monday in a press statement in which he said playing Pakistan “is always special” and that fans will be “looking forward to it.”

The tour, which runs from Aug. 25 to Sept. 11, has matches scheduled to be played in Manchester, Coventry and London.

This will be the first series between the two teams at a neutral venue. The last bilateral series between the two teams was played in Pakistan in 2005.—AP
