LARKANA, July 14: Expressing concern over Karachi situation, Chairman of the Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM), Bashir Khan Qureshi, has said innocent people are being targeted in the power game.

Speaking at a press conference at press club here on Thursday, he said Sindh is land of sufis who won over people through love and peace.

He said it was a conspiracy to pitch Sindhis against Urdu speaking people and pledged to foil any such plan.

He criticised politicians for issuing irresponsible statements and advised them to avoid use of un-parliamentary language.

Replying to a question, he said: “We will not even listen to talk about division of Sindh.”

The JSQM, he added, would resist any such move with full force.

Commenting on wall chalking in Karachi, he said the government should trace those elements who were behind this move.

The Muttahida Qaumi Movement, he said, had never demanded a separate province.

He endorsed the Pakistan Peoples Party government's decision to wind up local bodies system and restore commissionerate system.

His party, he added, had been demanding revival of the system for long.
