RAWALPINDI, July 27: Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majeed on Wednesday visited the Benazir Bhutto’s memorial at Liaquat Bagh.

Talking to reporters, he said he came here to pay tributes to great leader who taught them to work for the voiceless people. He said that Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto rendered tremendous services for the Kashmiris and highlighted the issue on international forms.

Chaudhry Abdul Majeed, who was also PPP AJK President, said that the Kashmiris had confidence in PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari.

He said the PPP committed to raising the issue of Kashmiris and would work hard to press the Indian government to give right of self-determination to the people of Kashmir, he said.

He said, “We salute President Asif Ali Zardari for carrying forward the mission of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto.

The AJK premier said that the government was committed to bringing about change in Azad Kashmir for the welfare of people and in this regard, the PPP government would take other parties along.

He said that the AJK government would solve the problems of earthquake victims within three months. He said that the government started the work and it would be completed during next three months.

The government also planned to eliminate the unemployment from Azad Kashmir and it would create congenial atmosphere for foreign and local investment that would create employment opportunities for the youth, he maintained.

He said that the new elected government of AJK would take All Parties Huriyat Conference leaders into confidence and launch massive campaign in the world to raise Kashmir dispute. The PPP workers and supporters welcomed the newly-elected AJK prime minister at Liaquat Bagh. On his arrival, they shouted slogans in favour of PPP and President Asif Ali Zardari.—A Reporter
