QUETTA: A religious scholar was gunned down on Thursday by unidentified men at the Pishin stop area of Quetta.

According to police, Abdul Karim Mengal, the prayer leader of Jamia Albadar, was coming out from the mosque when unidentified men riding a motorbike fired at him.

He sustained bullet shots and died while he was being rushed to the Civil Hospital Quetta for medical aid. Later, the dead body was handed over to the relatives after the autopsy.
