ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani on Saturday said that the government's policy of reconciliation has helped it resolve national issues and strengthen democracy.

Speaking to Sardar Latif Khosa, Governor of Punjab, here at the PM House, Gilani urged all political parties to work for the strengthening of democratic institutions so as to provide relief to the people.

Prime Minister Gilani asked Governor Khosa to play his constitutional role to ensure political harmony among all political parties in the interest of the people of the province. He asked him to monitor price control in the province ahead of the holy month of Ramazan.

Governor Khosa assured Prime Minister Gilani that he would play his due constitutional role for the betterment of the people of Punjab. Both leaders discussed the country’s overall political situation.
