KOHAT, Aug 6: The commissioner Kohat division has asked the Pesco to minimise unannounced loadshedding and tripping of the system which is causing law and order situation in the region.

The Commissioner Kohat, Sahibzada Mohammad Anees, while chairing a meeting on loadshedding at his office on Saturday, said according to government announcement there should be no loadshedding in Sehr and Iftar timings. He complained the angry consumers were coming on road to protest against unannounced suspensions which could be avoided by overcoming the problem of tripping.

The meeting was attended by the Pesco XENs for Kohat and Hangu districts, District Police Officer, Kohat, Mubarek Zeb Khan, district revenue officers of Kohat and Hangu and SDOs of the concerned grid stations.

Mr Anees asked the Pesco officials that out of five SDOs at least one should be present in the office to receive the complaints of the people and solve them. He was later given briefing about the loadshedding by the Pesco officials.

ARTS COUNCIL: The commissioner Kohat division has formed a nine member committee to look after the affairs of the Kohat Arts Council and forward names of writers/artists for civil award on the coming Independence Day.

The commissioner Kohat division, who is the chairman of the Kohat Arts Council, would ensure registration of all cultural organisations, prepare their budgets, monitor their activities and arrange cultural shows.
