The end of an era

US space shuttle Endeavour on August 11, as it is moved from the Orbiter Processing Facility bay 1 at Kennedy Space Center, Florida for towing to the Vehicle Assembly Building so that US space shuttle Discovery's preparation work for it's transfer to Virginia can be completed.  Space shuttles Endeavour and Discovery switched buildings as they are being decommissioned with the end of the Shuttle program.  Discovery will roost in retirement at the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum annex. - Photos by AFP
